aridac - ARISDatabaseComparer
Working with ARIS on a professional basis makes your content grow day by day. Since you don't want to drop former results, a sophisticated versioning concept would help. Unfortunately the ARIS Toolset and the BusinessArchitect have started very late (version 7.x) to provide the first attempts of some versioning support. So you still have to regularly archive complete database exports as "versions".
When problem occur you have to compare models, objects and their attributes by hand - a toilsome, time consuming, error-prone and enervating task. This work is now done for you by the all new ARISDatabaseComparer (aridac). Just provide two databases located on your ARIS-server and let aridac compare single groups or your entire database to the last detail. Aridac can find
- deleted, moved or newly created objects, models, groups, users and usergroups.
- changed attributes of object, edges (connections), models, group, users, user groups.
- changes on single models like deleted, moved or newly created objects and edged (connections).
- changed access rights of users and user groups.
As output you get a detailed report of the differences between your databases - as a textfile and .xml.
